Virtual Shopping Spree on Second Life

I chose to visit Farrah Island in second life. When I arrived to the destination, I felt the ambience is good. I love the way that they display the banner and model. There is a background radio being played once I reached the island. It seems to me that radio is trying to create a Christmas atmosphere because it has been playing the songs that related to Christmas event. Example of the songs is the silent nights remix.

There are many products being sold on that island such as rings, fashion and I can even rent the shop providing that I have to pay money. It is so realistic. I have to pay money. There isn’t any way to try the attire before paying money.

I can fly like a bird. There is no restriction in the sky and I felt like I have regained the lost freedom in life. In second life, the shopping ambience is totally brand new experience to me. I completely changed my concept of the shopping. I even thought that shopping is a boring until I was introduced to second life. It revamps my views on shopping.

I have no barrier to communicate other people since I don’t talk face to face with them. They would not know how I look like. I pick up new language when communicating with them. Every destination has its own distinct and unique ambience.

I cant try on the clothes before I purchase them in the second life. It seems that the developer did not think of this area. I also find it to move around places.

Yeah, fly makes life easier. It took me less than a second to reach the destination.

Basically there are great differences between E-shopping Spree on Internet and on second life. Shopping on Internet is dull and boring. They just provide picture and description on the products’ features.  Shopping on Second life provides interactive experience. It brings out the true shopping experience which is even better than the reality shopping to us to have a feel.

I have benefited from this e-learning experience is process of making friends. It is quite fun to expand my social circle. I learnt how to make a comparison on information obtained from second life and website.

The most challenging is in the second life game was lag. I was blurring in the beginning but I saw a person walking to a direction, I began to notice there is a arrow on the ground. It shows you how to sit but it does not show me how to stand. When it says press “Page up” to fly, I could only jump, I didn’t see my character fly. I came to realize that I need to hold on to the button. It seems that the picture does not explain clearly which results I have doubts. I want to search for the place but it does not return the result. It is so troublesome game software. It is not user-friendly.
